Trevor Conway is the founder of Crusade Driving School and an experienced driving instructor, having qualified as a driving instructor in 2013.
After a 10-year career in IT, Trevor was made redundant, giving him the opportunity to finally pursue his long-term goal of becoming a driving instructor. He launched Crusade Driving School in 2017 with the aim of creating a driving school built around instructors who are passionate about teaching and coaching learners to become the best drivers they can be.
Trevor started his career as a driving instructor, teaching manual driving lessons across Northampton. In 2025, Trevor made the decision to switch to teaching automatic driving lessons in an electric vehicle.
Trevor now provides automatic driving lessons in Corby, Kettering, Market Harborough and surrounding areas, helping learners develop the skills, confidence and independence they need to become safe and responsible drivers.
Trevor currently teaches in a Kia E-Niro electric vehicle, giving learners the opportunity to learn in a modern automatic car while developing the skills they need for everyday driving.
Automatic lessons can be a great option for learners who prefer a simpler driving experience, particularly those who don't want to learn clutch control and manual gear changes.
Trevor lives in Corby, so knows the area extremely well. Oakley Vale provides a fantastic area for teaching roundabouts, while Corby also has some quieter areas that are ideal for beginners.
Kettering is home to the local driving test centre and offers a wide variety of training areas. Learners can experience everything from pedestrian crossings and traffic lights to the infamous double roundabout and the multi-lane national speed limit dual carriageway. Trevor has extensive knowledge of the area and its various training routes.
Just down the road from Corby, Market Harborough offers a great variety of driving environments for learners. There are quieter countryside roads for building confidence, while the A6 and A14 are both close by, giving learners the opportunity to develop experience in a range of different driving conditions.
Trevor also provides automatic driving lessons in surrounding areas, including Thrapston, Burton Latimer, Barton Seagrave and Broughton, as well as other nearby locations.

Trevor has trained both Claire Pettit and Balazs Kecskemeti, who is currently a PDI (Potential Driving Instructor). He particularly enjoys helping aspiring instructors develop their knowledge, teaching skills and confidence as they work towards a career in driving instruction.
